Summer and winter holidays in the Hochpustertal valley

Whether you want to cycle to Lienz or prefer to take the bike up to the Plätzwiese plateau, hike the short distance up to the Putz refuge on a mountain pasture or go on a long mountain hike to Dürrenstein - no problem! Our guesthouse in Niederdorf is in an ideal position.

The warm mountain summer is an experience in itself: fresh mountain air from the Prags and Sexten Dolomites draws you out into the open, to the nearby park with its tennis courts and children’s playgrounds. Here are a few of the places that walkers and cyclists should head for: Maria Aufkirchen, Lake Prags, Lake Toblach or the Roman Road.

You will be enchanted by the scenery! A hike around the 3 Zinnen three-peaked mountain is also very rewarding.

Three PeaksKurpark spa complex

Holiday fun for all the family.

The Kurpark spa complex, which is directly behind our guesthouse, is a great place for children to let off steam but is also a good place for adults to relax in. The slides, swings, sandpits, swinging ropes and tree houses are very inviting.

The Raiffeisen-Kneipp-für-mich® activity park gives you the chance to escape the noise and stress of daily life. During a walk through the Kurpark spa complex you can learn all about the flora and fauna of the Dolomites.

Niederdorf is Italy’s first Kneipp für mich® experience village and offers a Kneipp activity park, an outdoor inhalatorium and a pavilion for drinking spring water.

Winter in the Hochpustertal valley – is something to be experienced, especially for active people:

the cross-country course goes right past our guesthouse. All you have to do is to step outside your warm and welcoming room in the Hochpustertal valley – and you can start your sporting adventure on skis!

You can go skiing in the recently extended Sexten Dolomites skiing area. The ski bus will take you directly from our guesthouse to Vierschach. You can also easily reach the Kronplatz skiing area by train.

But a winter holiday in the Hochpustertal valley has a lot more to offer: tobogganing, curling and ice skating are a must in this winter splendour. There are toboggan runs on the Rotwand or Haunold mountains.

And if you have anything else in mind, just have a word with us.
